Real Relationships & Gratitude
The keys to living a happy life
Three ideas to live a happier life:
1/ Invest in real relationships, not deal relationships.
Successful people often have many "deal" friends but few truly close ones. Going from "deal" to "real" relationships is one of the most reliable paths to greater happiness.

2/ Relationships matter more than almost anything else, including your genes.
A study found that relationship satisfaction in midlife predicted health and happiness in old age better than any other factor. It also found that loneliness is as dangerous to health as smoking or alcoholism.

3/ Practice gratitude deliberately; don't just go through the motions.
Gratitude is a powerful mindset for improving happiness because happy people naturally call to mind life's blessings. Training your brain to do the same yields real benefits: you feel better, more connected to others, and experience greater life satisfaction.
